How to get to Once in a Blue Moon Farm:

Map to Once in a Blue Moon Farm

There is always special transportation required to visit an island. You may fly, take a private charter boat, or as most people do:  walk, bike or drive your rental car or own car onto the state ferry from Anacortes. If you do take the Washington State Ferry to Orcas Island, you will be directed to turn left once you depart the vessel. Drive 2 miles to Eastman Road, and turn right. Follow the winding road for 0.4 miles until you see the open blue gate on the right that takes you to the parking lot of the Farm Retreat House.

Ferry schedules change quarterly, so be aware of departure times during your stay.   Visit thia website at www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/

    Orcas Island activities include:

Biking, hiking, kayaking, and boating.  Our islands are loaded with many scenic trails and waterways.  Orcas Island is home to Moran State Park, the largest public recreation area in the San Juan Islands. Mount Constitution in Moran State Park is the highest mountain peak in the San Juans, and is famous for being one of the seven most scenic views in the world.

Enjoy some of the finest star gazing in the country...see shooting stars and even Aurora Borealis

Healing Arts: Meditate, take a Yoga class, get a massage

    Visit local art galleries

Whale and wildlife watching excursions and many other unique boat tours are available daily in season from Orcas, San Juan and Lopez islands - Ferries run often to Shaw, San Juan and Lopez islands.  If you walk on (and leave your car in the free parking lot) there is no charge in all directions.  But remember, this is only for "inter-island traveling" and not from Anacortes.
